Aksu sits just east of Antalya city on a flat, fertile plain covered with greenhouses and fields. It appeals to two kinds of buyers: growers who want to live on their land or house their staff properly, and families who work in the city but would rather have a garden than an apartment. What the plain asks of a home
- Heat: summers are hot and humid, and greenhouses add reflected sunlight. Thick wall and roof insulation keeps cooling costs down.
- Noise: some neighbourhoods are close to the airport and main roads. We recommend acoustic glazing and extra wall insulation on those plots.
- Drainage: rainwater collects easily on flat land, so we raise the home and plan drainage around it.
- Shade: overhangs or a pergola on the south and west sides make a real difference.

Families moving out of the city often ask how comfortable the home will be in winter. Aksu winters are mild but damp, so a heat pump air conditioner is usually enough, and we add extra floor insulation for the cool, misty mornings on the plain. Living here also keeps the city centre, hospitals and the airport within a short drive.
Permits
Much of Aksu is agricultural land, and placing a home on it may require permission. Archaeological protection zones around Perge and coastal plots near Kundu have their own restrictions. If you plan to rent the home to tourists as a guesthouse or bungalow, a tourism certificate or municipal permit may be needed. Please confirm the details with Aksu Municipality.
