Muratpaşa, from Lara to the old town and the city centre, is mostly urban. Many residents, foreign and Turkish alike, live in apartments and want a way out at weekends rather than a second house in the garden. At Beyaz Tiny House our main recommendation for Muratpaşa is a towable caravan built in our Silifke workshop.
Sea level to mountain plateau in an hour
Antalya's geography is ideal for caravanning. Within about an hour of the city you can be on a warm beach or on a cool Taurus plateau. Locals head up to the yaylas when summer heats up, to quiet western coves in spring and autumn, and to the mild coast in winter, when many European caravanners also spend the season here. One well-equipped caravan covers all of it.
Three things city owners need to plan
- Parking: apartment car parks and streets rarely suit a caravan, and building management rules may forbid it. Paid caravan storage, a relative's garden or family land outside the city are the usual answers. Choose the size to fit your storage spot.
- Weight and licence: the caravan's weight determines what your car can tow and which licence class you need. We go through this with you before purchase.
- Heat and cold: a caravan used on the beach in July and on a plateau in October needs strong insulation, air conditioning plus heating, and roof ventilation to prevent condensation.
How we configure caravans for Muratpaşa
Our caravans can be built with compact dimensions for city manoeuvring, solar panels and batteries for off-grid nights, fresh and grey water tanks, a generous awning for outdoor living, and a galvanised chassis with corrosion-resistant fittings for frequent coastal use.

Where can you stay?
A caravan is a registered vehicle with registration and inspection requirements. Overnight stays may be restricted on coastal strips, in forests and national parks, and wherever a municipality prohibits them. If the wheels come off and the caravan is fixed to land, it may be treated as a building. Using caravans for paid camping or glamping may require a tourism certificate or municipal permit. Always check with the relevant municipality.
Delivery
We build in Silifke and bring caravans to Antalya along the D400 coastal road via Alanya and Manavgat, roughly 440–460 km. You can also collect from our workshop and tow it home yourself. More on our regional service: tiny houses in Antalya.
