Tarsus sits where the flat, fertile Çukurova plain meets the Taurus slopes rising towards the Gülek Pass. Summers on the plain are very hot and humid, and moving up to the cooler highlands for the summer is a long-standing local habit. That rhythm makes a mobile tiny house in Tarsus a natural fit: on your vineyard or orchard plot in spring and autumn, up in the highlands in summer.
A garden house on the plain
The Tarsus plain grows citrus, vegetables, grain and cotton, with vineyards and orchards on the gentler slopes to the north. Many owners live in town and visit for maintenance and harvest. A small house with a kitchenette, shower, toilet and a little storage covers most needs. Insulation is key in the plain's heat: a well-insulated roof, deep eaves, a light-coloured exterior and cross-ventilation reduce the load on air conditioning. The floor should be raised above irrigated, damp ground.
A highland home near Gülek
The higher ground north of Tarsus, around Gülek, has cool summers but cold winters, with snow at higher points. For a permanent highland home we recommend thicker insulation, insulated double glazing, a pitched roof and frost-protected plumbing. For a larger home used most of the year, a steel house designed for local snow loads is often the better choice.
A house that moves with the seasons
If you have both a plain plot and a highland plot, a mobile tiny house on a wheeled chassis can move between them. Its weight must match your towing vehicle on the climbing roads, its size must stay within road limits, and its insulation should handle both heat and cold. Solar panels, batteries and water tanks let it run independently in either location. Before each move, cupboards are latched, water tanks emptied and tyres and brakes checked; we walk you through this at handover. Long stays on a plot may still need permission depending on its status, so check both locations. Read more on our what is a tiny house page.

Delivery and permits
Our workshop in Ulugöz, Silifke, is roughly 110 km from Tarsus via Mersin. Plain plots are usually easy to reach; on the highland side we check road width and bends during the free site visit. Agricultural, pasture, forest and highland land status affects what is allowed, so please confirm with the municipality. See also our Mersin tiny house page.
