Çamlıyayla, once known as Namrun, is Mersin's best-known summer highland. Every summer families from Tarsus, Mersin and the Çukurova plain move up to its cool pine forests; in autumn most houses close and the highland gives way to snow. That two-season life makes a tiny house in Çamlıyayla a natural fit for a summer home.
Why a tiny house as a highland home?
- Fast setup: built in our Silifke workshop, so there is no waiting for a short building season.
- Small and easy to maintain: less to clean and check when you open and close it.
- Light on the land: it sits among the pines with a small footprint.
- Mobile option: a tiny house on wheels can be towed down before winter and back up in spring, if you have a suitable vehicle and choose a size the mountain road allows.
For larger, multi-generation families, one of our prefab houses gives more room. Compare sizes on our models page.
Ready for snow and empty winters
Higher areas such as Sebil are known for heavy snow, and the house stands empty for months. Our highland specification includes a steep roof designed for snow load, thick insulation, plumbing that can be fully drained with a single valve, a raised and ventilated floor to keep meltwater away, shutters and solid doors and windows, and a wood stove connection or electric heating for cool spring and autumn evenings.

Placing it among the pines
Highland plots are usually sloping, stony and wooded. We look for a sunny spot away from tree roots and from branches that could snap under snow. Point foundations or a light platform are usually enough and disturb the ground far less than a concrete slab. Where grid power is limited, solar panels and a water tank cover summer needs. When you close the house in autumn, we give you a simple checklist: drain the water, switch off the main breaker and close the shutters.
Delivery and permits
From Silifke we reach Çamlıyayla via Mersin and Tarsus, roughly 170–180 km, with the last section a winding mountain road. We schedule deliveries for late spring or early summer, outside the snow season, so your home is ready when the highland season starts. Land status matters a great deal here: pasture, forest and highland-designated land have strict building rules, while a titled plot with clear zoning is simpler. Please check with Çamlıyayla Municipality before you build. Our FAQ has more background.
