Anamur, at the western end of Mersin province, is known across Turkey for its bananas. It also has long sandy beaches, the seaside neighbourhood of İskele and a tourism scene built mostly on small, family-run guesthouses and bungalows. A tiny house in Anamur fits that scene well, whether you run a guesthouse or simply want a holiday home in a banana or citrus garden.
Tiny houses as bungalows
- Grow step by step: start with two units and add more as bookings grow.
- Private bathroom and kitchenette in every unit, easy to clean between guests.
- Use them off-season as family guest rooms or long-term lets.
- Keep the garden feel: small units scattered between the trees rather than one large concrete block, which is what guests come for.
See layouts on our models page. For a reception, breakfast room or your own family home on the same plot, one of our prefab houses pairs well with the tiny units.
Designed for a hot, humid coast
Anamur's winters are mild, which is why bananas grow here, but summers are hot and humid. We specify a thick roof insulation layer with a pergola or deep eaves, bathroom extractors and vents to stop mould, a galvanised frame with stainless fittings and salt-resistant paint, and insect screens on every opening. The air conditioner's heating mode is usually enough in winter.

Delivery from Silifke
Anamur is roughly 150–160 km from our workshop along the winding D400 coast road. For multi-unit projects we deliver in stages and aim to finish installation before the season starts, so it pays to start talking in winter.
When placing several bungalows in one garden, we make sure terraces do not look into each other, that each unit gets morning sun and afternoon shade, and that windows face each other to let the evening sea breeze through, so guests can switch the air conditioning off at night. Planning shared water and wastewater lines from the start means new units can be added later with minimal digging.
Permits, coast and turtles
Accommodation businesses need municipal and tourism paperwork whatever the building type. The Coastal Law applies near the shore, parts of Anamur's beaches are protected sea turtle nesting areas with extra rules on building and lighting, and archaeological sites carry their own limits. Please check with Anamur Municipality before you build. Our FAQ has more background.
